Livin' La Vida Educated!

Well--it's only been FOREVER since I last posted. I suck, I know.
Much has been given--and much has been required. [It's funny how scripture masteries stick with you.] Almost an entire semester of my grade twelve year has flown by--key word: almost. I'm still suffering the in-between bit where an unsuspecting student is suddenly buried alive in homework and Diploma prep. This said student suffers insomnia and multiple panic attacks, daily. Grade 12 sucks. Avoid it at all costs!
Mind you, not all aspects of 'el ultimo año de escuela' are horrendous. The social-life, though drastically affected by said diploma prep and homework, is a joy in itself! I have met some absolutely AMAZING people here! I have made the friends that I've spent my whole life looking for! I never thought it could be possible to be this happy.
Sure, I often do have my miserable days[those being the days where I get to sleep at 1 a.m and drag my heiny out of bed at 4:30 a.m for seminary] but generally every other day is a work of art!

I am enjoying seminary--even if it isn't Merlene teaching. I have found a new respect for Sister Fitzner. She's a wonderful lady--and super patient. Ie: everyday when Brandon and I are late--she doesn't give us the stink eye or anything.:]
The Doctrine and Covenants has always been a personal favorite of mine--I've read it a few times now, but I still manage to learn something new every time I read! But this time around [a.k.a 20XI] I'm gonna start readin 'er in Spanish! I received the Spanish version of the B.O.M and D&C for Christmas--and I'm totally stoked to start reading!

Because I'm no longer taking Spanish this school-year, I figured I'd challenge myself to take on the books in Spanish. Speaking of Spanish things--I am still madly in LOVE with Chile. I think I managed to leave my heart there in 2008. I still talk to my favorite few from San Javier. I pretty much plan on naming my firstborn son after Jaime. He's pretty much the love of my life. Hahaa! <3

Returning to the Grade 12--I have been losing my mind over getting ready for graduation--which will be June 29th [which falls on a hump day, go figure]! I have picked out my grad date--who will be ScottMormon, who is like the funniest kid I know. Downside, he's a giant. So I have to wear the tallest heals I can find--because I measure in at 5 feet and three inches. Scott is six foot two. We're a match made in heaven! hahah! NOT!
But on a positive note--I did manage to pick-out and order a grad dress! Ironically, it is purple. [It's ironic because I've spent all of my life HATING the color purple--which isn't a stab at Oprah or anything. It just always reminded me of a bruise.] But ya! It's gorgeous, and modest, and not crazy expensive, AND on it's way to Canada! Which is an absolute stress-reliever! Here's to hoping it doesn't get stuck at the boarder! [I think I just jinxed it!]

Anyways, time to get back to my homework!
Remember, piece by piece until there's peace.
LarissaMormon xo!
